The Brighton Astrology Circle presents:
Is the present world crisis indicated in the stars?
How bad can things get, and when, if ever, will normal life be resumed? These are some of the questions people are asking astrologers today in the face of the extreme and unprecedented world events that we’re going through.
A brilliant documentary film in ten parts with the title Changing of the Gods, released this year offers some answers.
Through music, images, interviews and historical film clips the 10-part documentary demonstrates how the chaotic historical period we’re experiencing, starting with the financial crash of 2008, correlates with powerful and rare planetary configurations. Inspired by the work of Richard Tarnas and his book Cosmos & Psyche: Intimations Of A New World View, the series considers our connection to the cosmos and all the mysteries it holds.
We at the Brighton Astrology Circle would like to promote a wider understanding of the value of astrology through presenting this brilliant film to a larger public. We are organising a series of free film showings during July and August to which seasoned astrology fans and curious newcomers are all welcome. The meetings will take place on Monday evenings starting on July 4th from 7- 8.30 pm at Essence, 86 Church Road, Hove (opposite Hove Town Hall) and are planned as sociable get-togethers. After showing an episode of the film (each lasts around 35-40 minutes) there will be a group discussion and a general conversation about astrology. People could bring drinks and snacks for this part of the evening – some wine to share? – or a kettle is available for boiling water if you bring your own mugs and tea bags. No need to register beforehand. It’s drop in – but please arrive punctually by 7.00 as the doors will be closed when the film starts.
