Learning Through Charts
Drawing on over 50 years’ experience as a full-time professional astrologer, Roy Gillett will share practical approaches to calculating and interpreting mundane, electional, natal and relationship astrology. Using chart data supplied by participants, the workshop will focus on real-life application and discussion, creating an interactive and collaborative learning experience.
Together, we will explore how to recognise and work with astrological cycles in meaningful and constructive ways.
Morning Session (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
Introduction
An outline of how astrology can help us understand both the heavens and our lives. Roy will also introduce his “Keyword Toolboxes” and demonstrate how they can assist in assessing karmic patterns and life themes, for better or worse.
Mundane
Exploring the astrology of current and unfolding world events since Roy’s evening talk on 15 April. (Anyone booking the workshop will receive advance online access to the recording of this talk.)

Electional
How to elect times for weddings, launching a business and other major events. (Participants are welcome to submit birth data for key individuals, along with possible dates or time ranges for the event.)
☕ Lunch Break (12:30 PM – 1:30 PM)
Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch, or if you prefer, there are shops and cafés nearby.
Afternoon Session (1:30 PM – 4:00PM)
Natal
Roy will outline and answer questions on his approach to birth chart interpretation and illustrate with practical examples on birth data you can supply.
Natal for Children
A discussion of the special considerations involved in reading charts for children, illustrated with selected examples.

Relationships
How to use natal, synastry, and composite charts to understand and advise – illustrated with chart[s] data supplied by attendees.
Questions and Discussion
An opportunity to ask questions on any other areas of astrology.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Please send chart data in advance of the workshop. Ideally, personal data should belong to participants attending on the day. If submitting data for someone not present, please ensure you have their express permission before sharing it.
Time constraints mean that only a limited number of examples can be covered during each session.
About the Speaker
Roy Gillett, the Astrological Association’s President Emeritus, has been a full-time astrologer since 1976, organizing and speaking at international conferences for forty years. He advises on and supports Solar Fire software. Since 1978, he has published mundane forecasts from a karmic Tibetan Buddhist perspective; from 2002, writing The Astrological Journal’s bi-monthly “Working with the Planets”, Books include Astrology and Compassion the Convenient Truth, Working with the Planets and The Secret Language of Astrology.
