16 September: The Redemption of the Inconjunct

The Inconjunct, sometimes referred to as a Quincunx, has something of a bad reputation, said to represent irreconcilable energies. It is an aspect of 150 degrees, and is looked upon either as a minor aspect, or an aspect with little meaning, traditionally speaking. Yet the Inconjunct is in common usage, and often seen as a ‘health aspect’. This talk will look at the reasons, with traditional backing, why the Inconjunct does matter.
Wanda Sellar is the current president of the Astrological Lodge of London, a post she has held twice. In both incarnations, she has always been in charge of the programme. For the last five years she has also been co-editor of the Aromatherapy Quarterly, and for the last 30 years she has been the editor of The Astrology & Medicine Newsletter. She is the author of seven books, four of which are on astrology. Her interest in astrology is wide-ranging from traditional to psychological to esoteric.

7 October: Gender in Astrology: Pluto and the Dark Feminine

In recent decades, issues of gender have become centre stage, and this resonates into astrological discourse.
After a 9.5 year journey, the New Horizons probe performed a flyby of Pluto in July 2015. It’s final photograph, looking back on Pluto as it eclipsed the Sun, clearly showed the blue ring around Pluto proving it had an atmosphere and is therefore capable of sustaining life, even if it is not life as we know it. This influence, couple with the emergence of heart felt psychology in recent times, suggest to me that the astrological resonance of Pluto has evolved in the last decade or so to the point where deeper feminine attributes of Pluto are beginning to be both recognised and accepted. Gender is being seen as more of an ongoing social action as much as a fixed internal trait, and in my astrological work with Pluto, both with men and women, the feminine capacity of this enigmatic planet is emerging into a new light.
Steve Judd has studied astrology since 1977, is self taught and was awarded the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in 2005. In 49 years he has records of over 35,000 horoscope readings with a large and loyal client base, many of whom return for yearly updates, primarily over zoom or facetime. With over 155,000 subscribers on YouTube, he has a loyal following. Steve’s idiosyncrasies endear him to his clients which, coupled with his bohemian and direct attitude, makes him a unique astrologer. He likes to think that he practices abnormal astrology.

A calling or vocation can be thought of as a kind of identity, in the sense that it roots you firmly in your life. For some it is closely entwined with career or income, but it can also emanate from other contexts. As a focal indicator of our aliveness, the Sun has a clear association with vocation. The session will explore the various ways we can look to the chart for inspiration and confirmation of ‘what belongs to us’
Kim Farley discovered astrology at the end of the 1980s and since then has tutored generations of students in London classes and worldwide online. She’s the author of the booklet Astro Mind Maps and has been published in TMA and the AA Journal as well as contributing to two astrological anthologies. Describing her own approach as the practise of applied imagination, she loves the intensity of consultation work. These days she teaches and mentors for Asteria, the independent school which she co-founded in 2023. Kim is also a professional vegan cook and funeral celebrant.

Kristin co-hosts the monthly radio show Guiding Stars and teaches through the School of Evolutionary Astrology. Her deepest passion lies in utilizing the Pluto Paradigm to awaken the Soul’s unbridled nature.

The 8th house explores the depths of the psyche – taboos, shared resources, sexuality, transformation, and the shadow self. Called Epikataphora (casting down) in Hellenistic Astrology, it reveals suppressed emotions and karmic ties. This talk invites you to confront its intensity and embrace the challenges it poses. Together, we’ll open Pandora’s box, facing the darkness within while uncovering the hope that lies at its core.
Berlin-based Martin Sebastian Moritz, is a psychotherapist, astrologer, and trend researcher. With over 30 years of experience, he lectures for Kepler, MISPA, ISAR and writes for international journals in German and English. He has presented at NORWAC and the AA conference. He explores biography work, gender dynamics, historical and mundane contexts as well as karmic astrology.
