Meeting our Inner Saturn: A Talk by Phoebe Wyss

The great gift of astrology is that it gives us a language to name and understand the cosmic forces we experience in and around us.

‘Saturn’ is a planet in the sky, a god in mythology and a powerful psychic energy in our inner world. In this talk we’ll learn to identify his ‘voice’ in us and explore how to use his power creatively. Gurdjieff used to say that everyone has a main weakness or obstacle that holds them back, and which needs to be identified before it can be overcome. Saturn in our chart points to this stumbling block in our lives which, with the know-how, can be turned into our main foundation stone.

Phoebe Wyss is a Hove astrologer with 35 years experience in giving consultations, courses and workshops and is an experienced public speaker. She’s published an astrology board game, two books on the astrological archetypes and her latest book on archetypal astrology and the new paradigm was published in 2014. The First Saturn Cycle and 4 Key Transits: A Talk by Pam Carruthers

Pam Carruthers

Pam will introduce you to a simple visual technique that simply by glancing at a chart will give you real and relevant information. This technique is based on Saturn’s transit cycles in the first 29 years of life.

In astrology, the four fundamentals are the Sun, the Moon, Saturn, and the Angles.

The 4 Key transits are when Saturn first activates these four symbolic elements — Saturn-Sun, Saturn-Moon, Saturn-Saturn, and Saturn-IC.

While all transit cycles carry significance, Saturn cycles stand out as they are about the basic structure of a person’s evolution and maturity. Other cycles may alter the personality, but Saturn cycles define it.

When each transit occurs and which transit comes first will define a person’s development and character.

This technique is especially helpful for those under the age of 29, and also for parents to better understand their child’s development. Please bring your birth chart to get the best from this talk.

Pam Carruthers is a qualified professional Vedic and Western astrologer with over 23 years experience of consultations, teaching and workshops. She works from a spiritual perspective and is a student of A Course in Miracles. An experienced and Certified Life Coach with One of Many, Pam helps clients discover and heal the hidden patterns that are holding them back in their lives. A consultation with her is a life enhancing and healing experience. Pam lives in Hove. Vist her website www.healingstars.com

Saturn in the world around us: A Talk by Julian Venables

Julian Venables
Julian Venables

Once one has an awareness of how Saturn shapes and develops natal characteristics and personality, then one can look outside of the self to see how it shapes and constructs society and the world around us. Julian will give examples of Saturn’s rulerships and how society works and civilization is built with its consolidating realism.

In mundane (worldly) astrology, we observe Saturn as it makes conjunctions with all the other planets. For example the annual Sun/Saturn conjunction, the 18-month Mars/Saturn conjunction, the 20 year Jupiter/Saturn conjunction and the 33-38 year(average 35) Saturn/Pluto conjunction.

In the year 2020 there will be a Saturn/Pluto conjunction followed by a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction.

This is big news and it is already happening as we reach the crumbling end of the last Saturn/Pluto conjunction that started in 1980.

The Saturn/Pluto cycle is essentially politics, so what new politics can we expect out of the new conjunction?

Julian Venables is a Hove astrologer with a Faculty Diploma. He writes daily horoscopes on www.uinterview.com and has just published his first novel ‘The Astrologer’s Apprentice’. His website is www.julianvenables.co.uk
