Sept 7th: Hercules Labours: the Evolutionary Path round the Horoscope

A Talk by Phoebe Wyss

herculesHercules is an ancient Greek hero. As a penance for slaying his wife and children, the king sends him out to perform 12 scary labours. Against the odds he performs them all successfully, and is rewarded by becoming a constellation of stars.

The series of 12 myths that describe his adventures  originated in the Pagan mystery schools which Phoebe will be talking about. And of course it’s no coincidence that the number of his labours is twelve – they correspond to the signs of the zodiac, so astrology is in there too.

Phoebe will interpret the symbolism of the labours in the light of the Saturn cycle round the houses.

September 21st: Healing Your Birth Story

Pam Carruthers

This talk explores your astrology birth chart from an exciting and unique viewpoint – your conception. The 9th house cusp is the Conception point in the Placidus house system in your birth chart. It contains a huge amount of vital information. It’s ruler, aspects to it and planets in the 9th give fascinating insights into the nature of your Soul’s Purpose for incarnation and what you have come to heal.

If you have a problem in your life that seems impossible to get through, it could well have originated before your birth. This is backed up by Pam in her experience with hundreds of participants on her workshops over the last 16 years and in her work as a consulting astrologer.

October 5th: Jupiter in Libra: A time for fairness and re-balancing, and opportunities for understanding relationships

Julian Venables
Julian Venables

A Talk by Julian Venables

Jupiter is the greater benefic and one of the most fortunate planets, and in its 12 year journey around the Zodiac it spends a year in each sign. On September 9th Jupiter changed sign into Libra, the sign of harmony, balance, fairness and justice.

This is good news as Jupiter is relatively happy in Libra and so it will bring expansion and opportunity to partnerships and relationships during its one year tenure (until it moves in Scorpio on October 11th 2017).

Julian will explain some of the things to expect in this year ahead, and look back to Jupiters previous visits to Libra in 2004/2005, 1992/1993 and 1980/1981 to ascertain what mundane (world) events we can expect. It will be making big aspects to both Uranus in Aries (an opposition) and Pluto in Capricorn (a square).

Don’t forget to bring your chart for Q&A to find out how Jupiter will affect your life this year.

Julian Venables is a Hove astrologer with a Faculty Diploma. He writes daily horoscopes on www.uinterview.com and has just published his first novel ‘The Astrologer’s Apprentice’. His website is www.julianvenables.co.uk
